The new Degree Audit system is currently available for advisors, chairs, deans, and other academic department staff. Students will be able to access the new system beginning 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th.
Degree Audit is an advising tool for viewing a student’s progress towards fulfillment of degree requirements. The latest enhancements for Degree Audit were included in the April 2011 Upgrade. According to Margaret Walden, the primary IT analyst responsible for maintaining the Degree Audit system, ”The new system is designed to be more user friendly. Our goal is to provide a useful tool to help facilitate better communication between the advisor and the student concerning degree requirements.”
Degree Audit can be accessed within myOleMiss via the following menu paths:
For Academic Administrators: Select the Academic Administrator tab => Students tab => Degree Audit from the left hand “Detailed Navigation” menu.
For Advisors: Select the Advisors tab => Advisor Tools from the left hand “Detailed Navigation” menu. => My Advisees => Click Degree Audit located on the left under the student’s profile info.
For Students: Select the Students tab => Click the Degree Audit tab. => Degree Audit from the left hand “Detailed Navigation” menu.
