SAP Tips for Supervisors

Posted on: September 27th, 2013 by LAURIE RICHLOVSKY

The SAP Training room has been really busy this fall! Here are some suggestions for making sure that your new employees receive the SAP access they need as quickly as possible:

  • Download the appropriate authorization request and user agreement forms from myOleMiss => Employee => SAP.  Complete the forms and send them to lsrichlo@olemiss.edu as scanned documents, or fax them to (662) 915-7180.
  • Be sure to indicate on the forms what access will be required for your new employee.   Also, if possible, be sure to indicate the name of the person whom this employee’s authorizations should mimic.
  • Make sure your new employee signs up for training. Everyone requesting an SAP license must take the SAP Beginners/SLcM Student File/Student Master Data class first, before they attend further training.
  • Consider spacing your new person’s training over a few months. For example, taking all 11 SAP classes the first few weeks on the job can be a lot to handle.  SAP training classes are offered at least once a month.

If you have questions about how to access SAP or how to obtain a license for your department, visit our SAP Website .  You may also contact the IT Helpdesk at helpdesk@olemiss.edu or (662) 915-5222.
